Ages 5-8 | Join us weekly for an introduction class to clay as we explore creativity and art with clay while learning the technical skills of slab, coil, and pinch techniques by local artist and art educator Heather Woolery.
This class is created to be a beginner's course for kids ages 5-8. The workshop series meets weekly for nine weeks.
In this workshop, kids will create functional and fanciful pottery projects, including vases, bowls, trinket dishes, wall decor and more. Because students return weekly, we are able to work through multiple projects, incorporating different decorative techniques during the drying process. Kids will get hands-on time learning to apply underglazes, carving sgraffito techniques, and high-fire and low-fire glazing.
The 9-week term starts:
Moscow: January 8th, 2025 (Wednesdays)
Each class is 1 hour and 15 minutes long, from 10am-11:15am.
Each semester is $199 and includes instruction, clay, glaze, and all other materials needed.
